It was late afternoon Ken - and this is England. You can see the cathedral in the distance (as well as a monstrous 1970's office/shopping complex). I quite like the gloomy atmospherics of this shot.
I used to love getting up on the roof when I was younger. Much to my mothers horror. It is a very nice place to sit.

Yep, I can relate to that. I used to climb lamposts when I was a kid. I'd enjoy looking down from up there for ages and ages. Cats do that.
